An event with crane birds using the art of origami was organized at MAKÜ.

A meaningful origami event was held in collaboration with Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University (MAKÜ) Faculty of Art and Design and the Japanese Art and Culture Community. The event, organized for the making of crane birds with origami art to be hung in the faculty, took place with the intense participation of students.

 

In the study conducted under the consultancy of Vice Dean Dr. Öğr. Üyesi Mukaddes Çetin Büyüktunca, Öğr. Gör. Betül Boydak, and Arş. Gör. Ayça Uygungöz, hand skills were developed and an artistic perspective was gained through origami, the traditional Japanese folding art.

 

Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Oğuz Gürsoy and Prof. Dr. Hakan Öner, who visited the event area, examined the students' works and emphasized the importance of art in cultural interaction. Participants pointed out that crane birds are a symbol of peace and hope, stating that the event carried a meaningful message as well as being artistic.
